Day 1 Arrive in Beijing (-/-/-)

Forbidden City of BeijingTransfer via: International Flight arranged by you

Welcome to Beijing, where the capital, political, and cultural center of China lies. We meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you have free time to relax and recover from jetlag.

Day 2 Beijing (B/L/-)

After breakfast, begin the day's activity with a visit to Tian'anmen Square, You will also see legendary landmarks including the Great Hall of the People and the towering 125 foot granite obelisk, Monument to the Peoples Heroes, honoring those who died in revolution. Walking across the Golden River Bridge, enter the Forbidden City. In the afternoon, pay a visit to Temple of Heaven.

Tian’anmen Square is the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, which can hold one million people. Having a free walk there, imagining the great historic events of the 20th century took place there.

Forbidden City, the inner sanctum and palace where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. It has 9000-room maze of courtyards, places, and ceremonial halls, where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was indeed a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years in the past. Tour the palace and imagine the mystery, intrigue and incredible power that reigned here.

Temple of Heaven is the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvest.

Day 3 Beijing (B/L/-)

Today's highlight is the visit of the Great Wall. Spending about 1.5 hours to be transferred outside city to the surrounding countryside to visit the Badaling Great Wall, after lunch at local restaurant, visit the fabled Ming Tombs.

Badaling Great Wall is a defensive outpost of the Great Wall— China's ancient defense works, as a pass of the Ming Great Wall, it occupies a commanding and strategic position. Badaling is the best-preserved section of the Beijing Great Wall.

Ming Tombs, the resting places of thirteen emperors and their splendid treasures, passing down the Spirit Way, a road lined with statues of dignitaries, as well as huge elephants, lions, camels and horses, you will encounter the marble tombs of the Ming Dynasty emperors.

Day 4 Beijing (B/L/-)

HutongsAfter breakfast, visit the Yonghe Lamasery (Lama Temple). Have a unique Hutong Trishaw tour in the afternoon.

Yonghe Lamasery is the largest and best-known lamasery in Beijing.

Hutongs are a kind of ancient city alley or lane that is typical in Beijing. Most of them are found around the Forbidden City, and many were built during the three dynasties of Yuan, Ming and Qing. Today, the Hutong is a living museum of Beijing history showing the traditional lifestyle of Beijing people. Tricycles hold two people and peddled by an experienced bicyclist. Stops are made to visit a local family and see first-hand how the people of Beijing live.

Day 5 Beijing / Chengde (B/L/-)

In the morning, you will be transferred to the railway station for the train to Chengde(245km, about 4 hours). Upon arrive in Chengde, visit Mountain Resort.

Chengde Mountain Resort: Situated in the northern part of Chengde, the Mountain Resort, also called the Temporary Imperial Dwelling Palace in Rehe, was built by the Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1644 A.D-1911 A.D) for the sake of stabilizing the frontier region and maintaining the unity of multi-nationalities. This large resort is considered the most remarkable imperial garden still existing today in China.

Day 6 Chengde / Beijing (B/L/-)

Chengde Mountain ResortDepart from your hotel in the morning to visit the Putuo Zongcheng Temple. Then visit the Puning Temple (with its popular name Big Buddha Temple). The main attractions inside the temple are Bell and Drum Towers, Pavilions, Heaven King Palace (Tian Wang Dian) and the Daxiong Baodian. After lunch at a local restaurant, take the afternoon train back to Beijing.

Putuo Zongcheng Temple: Built in 1771, the Putuo Zongcheng Temple is a most resplendent and sweeping one. It covers an area of 220,000 square meters. And this temple was built in great similarity to Potala Palace in Lhasa Tibet in architectural style. That is why it is also called the lesser Potala Palace.

The Puning Temple is located in the north-west of Chengde city. Built in 1755 A.D (QING Dynasty), the temple shows the respect of the Qing Dynasty to the Minorities. It is a most grandiose palace group. It is an architectural masterpiece of BAROQUE style .It has been placed on "a catalogue of world culture heritage" by UN in 1981.

Day 7 Beijing / Departure (B/-/-)

After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
