Day 1 Arrive at Kunming (-/-/-)
Transfer via: flight arranged by you.
Meet you at Kunming airport and transfer you to your hotel for checking-in. After a short break, drive you to pay a visit at Bamboo Temple.
Bamboo Temple is located in Yu’anshan Mountain which is in 10km northwest of Kunming. It is a much-restored Tang Dynasty temple known for its Arhat statues, is arguably the most famous of Kunming’s temples. After finishing this trip, transfer you back to your hotel.
Day 2 Jiuxiang to Stone Forest (-/L/-)
After breakfast, drive about 2hours to Jiuxiang for a visit. The beautiful large scenic resort Jiuxiang inhabited mainly by the Yi and Hui nationalities, over 70 kilometers away from Kunming and 47 kilometers away from Yiliang county town. There are more than one hundred karst caves in Jiuxiang scenic resort, which make Jiuxiang caves become the largest caves group system in China at present. In the caves, there are many forms and shapes with different colors stalactites, and numerous natural bridges, valleys, rivers and waterfalls, which constitute a wonderful subterranean world.
This tour will takes about 3-4 hours. After finishing Jiuxiang trip, send you to Stone Forest and stay at Stone Forest Hotel tonight.
Day 3 Stone Forest to Kunming (-/L/-)
The highlights of today you are going to visit are Stone Forest and Golden Temple.After Stone Forest, transfer you back you Kunming. Then have another tour to Golden Temple.
Stone Forest located in Shilin Yi Nationality Autonomous County. It covers an area of 400 square kilometers (96,000 acres) and includes both large and small stone forests, as well as many other scenic spots. This typical karst physiognomy takes the form of a forest of stone pillars and boulders. It is as if the countless stone shapes have sprung from the ground, assuming different shapes as if vying to surpass each other in grandeur and sublime beauty.
Golden Temple–one of national Historic Preservation which located on top of Mingfeng (Singing Phoenix) Hill. It is the home of Taihe Palace which is the largest copper temple in China. Because of its bronze tile made it looks gleamy, so got its name Golden Temple.
Day 4 Dragon Gate, Bird & Flower Market, depart Kunming (B/L/-)
This morning, you will go to visit the Dragon Gate and explore Kunming Bird & Flower Market. In the afternoon, transfer you back your hotel and have a short rest for going to your next destination.
Dragon Gate,also called Datiange, which is a temple eyrie on the side of a sheer cliff Arhat Peak. It’s an ideal place to get some idea of how magnificent the sights are. Standing at the Dragon Gate, you can enjoy the beauty of the vast Dianchi Lake. It was said, “Once on the Dragon Gate, your fortune will be made.”
Bird & Flower Market One of the more interesting attractions within the central downtown area of Kunming, and a great place to shop for a lot of different things like clothes, name chops, dice, outdoor equipment, camping and hunting gear, birds, flowers, live baby turtles, pirated movies, music, games or dried lizards on sticks. It’s open roughly from 9am-6pm, but all of the individual shopkeepers keep whatever hours they like.
