Day 1 Arrive at Lhasa (-/-/-)

Upon arrive Lhasa Airport, be met and transfer to the downtown hotel for checking-in.
After checking-in, the left time is free for you to have a rest and acclimatize the altitude. On the way to downtown hotel, you will get greeted by Nie Tang Buddha which is the largest Buddha image engraved in the mountain face. Located 20 km south of Lhasa, the Buddha image is 9.83m high and 7.9m wide, a must-see attraction on the 100 km-drive from Gonggar Airport to the city of Lhasa.
Day 2 Lhasa (B/L/-)
Today you will have full day tour to experience the holy city.
As the most imposing attraction in Lhasa, the Potala Palace is the most popular and “must go” place while you travel in Lhasa. Located on Moburi (Red) Mountain, to the west of old Lhasa, The Potala Palace is one of architectural wonders of the world contains 13 storeys tall and thousands of rooms. It is famous for the precious sculptures, murals, scriptures, Buddha statues, murals, antiques, and religious jewelry. So, one of today’s highlights must be the Potala Palace.
Except visit the Potala Palace, you will also have a tour to The Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. Located in central Lhasa, with an area of 25,100 square meters, the Jokhang Temple is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Pilgrims. It was built to commemorate the marriage of the the Tang princess Wencheng to King Songtsen Gampo, and houses a pure gold statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni brought to Tibet by the princess. Several centuries later, it becomes one of Tibet’s holiest shrines.
Followed by the Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street is essentially a pilgrim circuit that proceeds clockwise around the periphery of the Jokhang Temple. It is also a hive of market activity, an astounding pilgrim jamboree, and a wonderful introduction to Tibet
