Mutianyu Great Wall Section is 90km from Beijing, dates from Ming dynasty remain built upon an earlier Northern Qi-dynasty conception. Despite some motivated hawking and tourist paraphernalia, Mutianyu Section is notable for its numerous Ming dynasty guard towers and stirring views. It’s also a rare well-protected section at present.
Simatai Great Wall Section is 110km from Beijing. This rugged section of wall can be heart-thumpingly steep and the scenery is dramatic. A few slopes with 70-degree inclines will bring your an excellent experience during your climbing.
Jinshanling Great Wall Section has 24 watchtowers and is relatively less developed, despite restoration work, and it’s one of the popular choices for the tekking lovers.
