About Us
Updated November 2026
China Travel Planner is a licensed inbound tour operator. We have been planning and running private journeys in China since 2004, for travellers who would rather see four places properly than twelve from a coach window.
We operate what we sell
Every itinerary on this site is one we run ourselves. There is no marketplace behind the booking form and no resale: the guide who meets you at arrivals is a guide we brief, the driver is one we have worked with for years, and the hotels are ones we have stayed in. If a route does not work in the days you have, we say so before you book rather than after.
What that means in practice
- Private, always. Your party, your car, your guide. No group departures and no shopping stops.
- Honest day counts. Each route states the days it actually takes, transfer days included.
- Someone who answers. A planner in China reads every enquiry, usually within one working day.
Where we work
Our team is in China and travels the routes we sell. Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Chengdu, Yunnan, Tibet, the Silk Road and the Yangtze — when a trip needs permits, internal flights, or train tickets bought the morning they open, that is our daily work rather than an exception.
