Why we do not publish testimonials, what we send instead, and what you can check without asking us.
We do not publish testimonials. Not because there are none, but because a paragraph of praise on the website of the company being praised proves very little, and everyone reading it knows that.
What we offer instead
Ask, and we will send you the contact details of two or three travellers who have done something close to what you are planning, within the last eighteen months. They are not paid, they are not briefed on what to say, and they will tell you what went wrong as readily as what went right. If you would rather not telephone a stranger, that is entirely reasonable — the things below can be checked without our help.
What you can verify yourself
- Tourism licence L-GX-CJ00096. A Chinese agency cannot legally take inbound travellers without one, and the number can be checked with the provincial tourism authority in Guangxi. It appears in the footer of every page here.
- An office with a street address. Wanda Plaza, Guilin, Guangxi. We will send the full address and a landline you can call during Beijing office hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 (UTC+8).
- The price, before you talk to anyone. Every journey page carries a from-price per person, and the quote you receive itemises hotels, guides, trains, tickets and the margin.
- Who is answering. The person who replies to your first email is the person who plans the trip, and the person you deal with if something goes wrong on the road.
If you have travelled with us
Send us a note. We would rather add your words, with your name and your permission, than write our own — and if a trip went badly, we would rather hear it directly than find it in a review we cannot answer.
