Day 1 Arrive Kunming (-/-/-)
Transfer via: flight arrive Kunming on your own arrangement
Meet you at the Kunming Changshui Airport (KMG) and transfer you to your hotel for checking-in. After a short break, drive you to pay a visit at Birds & Flowers Market.
Bird & Flower Market One of the more interesting attractions within the central downtown area of Kunming, and a great place to shop for a lot of different things like clothes, name chops, dice, outdoor equipment, camping and hunting gear, birds, flowers, live baby turtles, pirated movies, music, games or dried lizards on sticks. It’s open roughly from 9am-6pm, but all of the individual shopkeepers keep whatever hours they like.
Day 2 Kunming (B/L/-)
Full day Stone Forest tour.
Today you are going to visit Stone Forest. It takes about 2 hours from Kunming to Stone Forest.
Stone Forest located in Shilin Yi Nationality Autonomous County. It covers an area of 400 square kilometers (96,000 acres) and includes both large and small stone forests, as well as many other scenic spots. This typical karst physiognomy takes the form of a forest of stone pillars and boulders. It is as if the countless stone shapes have sprung from the ground, assuming different shapes as if vying to surpass each other in grandeur and sublime beauty.
Day 3 Kunming / Mi’le (B/L/-)
Our tour guide will meet you up in the lobby of your hotel. Today we will drive to Mi’le, enjoy the hot spring baths in your hotel. Mi’le is abundant with geothermal resources. Hot springs of various sizes are scattered all over the county. The Huquan (or lake spring) Ecological Park is reputed to be the most beautiful hot spring in Mi’le. It is a comprehensive recreational center built with artificial beaches, tea houses, an amusement park and hot spring spas.
Day 4 Mi’le / Puzhehei (B/L/-)
Today we will drive to Puzhehei.
Puzhehei Scenic Resort is located in northwest Qiubei County, which is a fairyland from which visitor can have a panoramic view of clear lakes and pond full of lotus, emerald mountains and enchanting karsts landscape. This charming country is also an ideal place to view the pomp in festivals of the Yao, Miao, Huang and Yi minorities. July to September is the best time to admire the most beautiful country landscape of Puzhehei, because the lotus blossoms are in their florescence. Girls of the Zhuang ethnic group dressed in folk costumes which are adorned with jingling silver ornaments and embroidery, row little wooden boats and send visitors along the winding 21-km water corridor through Luoshuidong Lake, Puzhehei Lake and Xianren Lake.
Day 5 Puzhehei / Luliang / Kunming (B/L/-)
Today, we will drive to Luliang (nearly 5 hours), take a visit to Colored Sand Forest.
Sand Forest: Unlike the common beach sand, the Luliang Sand Forest is a combination of sand and stone that cumulate as prominences and mounts. The glory of reflection from the sunshine reproduces a magnificent view of its distinctive character quite like the Stone Forest, but a finer version. The main tinges here are yellow, white, red and grey. The Colorful Sand Forest came into being about 340 million years ago. It is also a whole consisting of all kinds of sand posts, sand peaks and sand screens. In addition, engraving with sand will sure give you a different feeling.
Then drive back to Kunming.
Day 6 Kunming to Yuanmou (B/L/-)
Today, we will drive to Yuanmou, take a visit to Earth Forest (Soil Forest / Land Forest).
The Earth Forest came into being since geological movement and soil erosion one or two million years ago. Its shape looks like an immense forest and the main component is earth, so it is named Earth Forest. The Earth Forest, the Stone Forest in Kunming and the Colorful Sand Forest in Luliang are called “the Three Forests in Yunnan”.
Stay tonight at Yuanmou .
Day 7 Yuanmou / Departure (B/-/-)

After breakfast, our tour guide and driver will bring you to Kunming airport. Goodbye and hope to see you again in beautiful Yunnan!
